Traits of this school:

1. Make students cultivate the learning attitude of positive and independent mind by means of problem-based small group learning.

2. Connect with the major trend of the world medical teaching with local specialty after deliberating national concerning university to achieve the goal “showing loving care for native soil, serving the society, and boarding our knowledge about outside world.

3. Combine base courses with clinic, and make students join the clinical work and experience the interaction with patients during the practical period.

4. Include article and cultural study in general studies to let students acquire virtues, profession, and values based on the quality of humanism and the loving care for life and become the excellent medical talent.

 

Apart from enrolling graduates from high schools, Kaohsiung Medical University is the only school of medicine that continues to set up courses for b.med.sc.
