When I just started working on the webpage, I did not understand the thickly dotted computer language. I was not familiar with website designing skills and webpage software function. I usually sat in front of the computer and did not know how to start. I took notes and learned computer languages and web designing skills using my holidays. I also watched at instruction videos on the Internet. When I had a question, I went to ask the computer teacher or teacher that taught me how to create webpages. The most interesting thing to me is that creating webpages was a challenge. I got a sense of achievement and confidence when I succeeded, and I learned from failure so that I could stand up again to continue the challenge until I succeeded.

When I first faced these computer programs, I did not understand the function and operation inside. Every time, I needed to try various ways to get it. It is difficult. It is said: “There is no difficulty as long as you have the right heart to do it”. After a few days training, I am more familiar now. I gradually understand when to use what function. Whenever we met difficulty, we all tried very hard to find the problem, and our confused face would not turn to normal until the problem was solved.

When I first saw the programming language, new software and new function, I got a headache. I worked very hard but could not understand in the beginning, so I wanted to give up but my friend continued to encourage me and patiently taught me. I finally caught up to other classmates’ progress. Union produces power. When we met difficulties, we always discussed the solution for the problems, and our solutions were always very special. At least these solutions came out from our thoughts together. This is my happy memory, too.

In the beginning, I was worried to make mistakes when using the software that I had never used before. I needed to slowly find out the useful functions, so it felt very complicated doing this. Fortunately, I had a group of reliable partners. When we had problems we helped each other. “There is no difficulty as long as you have the right heart to do it”. For difficulties, we always discussed together. Maybe the solution we came out with was not the best, but it was a method we came out with together.

When I became one of people in the three-reporter group, I honestly felt it was very difficult to interview people, since I did not do this very often. I was worried that if I extended the same questions many times, the interviewee would feel bothered, and would not want to continue. I was also worried that if all the pictures I took were blurry, I wouldn’t know what to do. After listening to the teacher’s instructions, I learned that I do not need to complicate the interviewing atmosphere and I should just treat it like chatting. Do not give myself pressure, and also encourage the interviewee to answer completely. To avoid blurriness when taking pictures, I can press the shutter halfway first to take the picture. In the beginning, I felt it was a little troublesome to do the Cyberfair project in the beginning, but when I worked together with everyone I felt very happy. We were trained together, did interviews together, learned together, and finished work together. I had the chance to finish all this with everyone, so I felt different. In the process, we were scolded together, we played together, and we searched for data together. Everything we did brings us a special feeling. As a team, any one of us cannot miss.

To practice how interviewing people, it was honestly simple to me, but to trace the question and go deeper, I felt it was a little bit difficult. I sometimes lost my concentration while the interviewee was stating their answer, and got interrupted in the middle, so I did not know how to continue. Later, I forced myself to concentrate better, organized the points of the contents I heard in my brain roughly, and then just like the teacher said, I could slowly guide the interviewee to speak out the answer I was expecting. In fact, I still like to do interviews. Whenever I finished an interview, I felt I had completed a big mission. Now I learned how to organize data. This is fun. I can organize messy data into the right order, and make it look especially concise.

We needed to prepare many questions for an interview. I often forgot the next question when the current question was answered. My interview was rigid. Our principal suggested that when I ask people questions, I should start with a big question to extend to smaller questions. Also, we should talk like we are chatting. In the parade, it felt very cool to see different sculptures from different groups. In particular, the Ming Dao University used different materials to make fashionable clothes. This gave me a very deep impression.

When I was organizing all contents of Hsichou Cultural Festival, I did not know how to do the afterthoughts. My writing always stopped somewhere and I did not know how to move forward. However, I still tried my best to complete it. For something I did not know how to do, I would go ask the teacher or classmates. I also searched more data on the Internet after going home, so that I could deliver the perfect job on my part. The most interesting part was when we were doing Hsichou snack introductions, everyone got hungry since the pictures were too pretty and too attractive. However, we could only watch the pictures but could not eat them. This was the biggest torture. Particularly when we were doing searches and someone was eating, we felt hungrier. We still needed to finish our work, so we had to hold our hunger to keep working.

In the procedure of practicing interviews, I occasionally interrupted people’s talking. Sometimes I did not know how to extend my question from the interviewees’ answers, but after practicing again and again, we all gained some understanding, so interruptions decreased. We also started with some questions without fixed answer to be more flexible and to extend our question range. For the principal’s suggestion, we modified the procedure to prevent sudden situation on that day. Also, we learned how to deal with people who did not want us to interview them; we kept following them and asking them questions. From the beginning until now, whether being a reporter, being in the group discussion, or doing progress reports, I felt it was fun. I will continue to work hard until the end. Go for it!

This was my first time to interview people at a parade. When our group was practicing, I was responsible for taking pictures. The principal and teacher told me that, I needed to stand up and walk around when taking pictures so that I will not take all the pictures from the same angle. When we did interviews at the parade, we saw the group we interviewed performing very splendidly, and we all learned a very new interviewing experience.
