Hsichou Township Office – Hsichou Guardian Angel Versus Lovely Guava

Design Theme ~ Township Head Plays Earth God to Show Passion to the Hometown

 　　Hsichou Township Office is the first team in the parade. In the very front of the team, the Township Head plays the earth god to lead the team. He gives away candy in the parade. There is a special meaning of praying for the land. There are also models of local agricultural product – the guava in the back. At the end, there is a sign of “I love Hsichou”. They directly and clearly express their passion to this land.

Sponsor Progress and Creation ~ Let Taiwan see Hsichou

 　　This is the third parade held by Hsichou Township Office. The main purpose is to let other towns know about Hsichou Township and its cultural creations. This activity also goes with the promotion of agricultural products in Hsichou Township. They invite elementary schools, junior high schools, colleges, and communities to participate and have fun. They promote the agricultural products of Hsichou Township through the performances in the parade. The Office hopes to continue to hold this parade in the future to let the whole country know about the agricultural products of Hsichou Township and the passion of the villagers.

Afterthoughts

 　　After interviewing the Office, there was a wonderful feeling in my mind: I love Hsichou, too. Even though Hsichou is a small and humble countryside, some people who have a deep love for Hsichou want to introduce the beautiful place to people through this parade. Now I love my hometown more. I want to introduce the beautiful countryside and delicious agricultural products to the whole world. Perhaps Hsichou Township is a small place, but as long as you are here, you can understand its beauty.
