There are essay questions and multiple-choice questions in the questionnaire; however, most people only answer the multiple-choice questions. For essay questions, people either give a random answer or write “I don’t know”, some even leave it blank. These are not helpful to us at all. There are 60 questionnaires in total, but only 42 are usable.

There are three ways to distribute the survey:
1.On the township hall website
Advantage: We can get the results with less manpower.
Disadvantage: Many questions are left empty or are given casual answers, since they are filled out voluntarily.

2. On our laptops
Advantage: Questionnaire is done on laptop. The questionnaire takers only need to answer verbally, and we type it in for them.
Disadvantage: Some laptops run out of battery during answering.

3. On traditional paper
Advantage: It is convenient to the elders; besides, we have a chance to explain questions to them. Most of the questions can be answered with this method.
Disadvantage: We filled answers for the questionnaire takers. In the cases for which we cannot catch their verbal answering speed, they need to repeat answers several times.

Results
After the 2012 Hsichou Cultural Festival was over, we created a questionnaire for the viewpoints of the local people in regards to the cultural activities season. With the Google statistics functions on the Internet and the traditional paper questionnaires, we did the survey for three weeks. We received 60 filled questionnaires, but only 42 of them were valid. We categorized the data, ran statistics, and did analyses. For the understanding of the relevant contents, we organized the results as follows.
