It was first opened to the public in January, 2011. The Hall of Capricorn Blessing is not just a traditional art gallery; it is a place for displaying Buddhism arts and photos. This hall is closed every Monday and Tuesday. The curator of the Hall of Capricorn Blessing, Guan You Ren, was graduated from National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, but he chose to come back to make his contribution in his hometown- Yunlin. Also, he even designed a category for a well-known Japanese brand appliances company through internet.

The Hall of Capricorn Blessing was a store for promoting creative culture business, and it sells blessing and auspicious related products. In our society, Buddhism has made a great impact in people’s lives and the way of living. The main purpose of this hall gives people a good witness about the spirit of Buddhism since it has been passed down for more than thousand years. Also, it shows people how Zen can be integrated with arts and blend in people’s lives. Have a tour down to the Hall of Capricorn Blessing yourself, I am sure you will pick up a thing or two.

In the Hall of Capricorn Blessing, there are more than hundred of magnificent drawings of Buddha, Thangka, and some old documentaries stored. While walking inside of the hall, people will feel like they have been to Tibet, a region of where Buddhism is performed as a daily ritual, or have visited the Japanese Temples, which will bring the happiness and good fortune to the coming up year. This hall was one of the main locations during the renovation of Tai-Ping historic street. Also, the curator, Guan You Ren, is always eager to tell visitors about the architecture history of the old buildings on Tau-Ping Street. After all, Mr. Guan is a very dedicated cultural worker in Douliu.
