Camaca Chocolate is a chocolate store established in midsummer of 2013. It had become a perfect afternoon-tea choice in Dou-Liu ever since it was rated the five-star store by gourmet websites. The store owners are the parents of Cheng-Yu Li, a student who studies in Victoria Academy. His parents were in the business of biotechnology, but started the chocolate business because they were fond of chocolate. They insist on using natural ingredients, combined with the best skills and the most ideal management philosophy to produce their nama chocolate.

Cheng-Yu Li explains the meaning of CAMACA to us. MA stands for Mother; CA stands for the initial letter of all the products sold in the store, such as chocolate, cake, coffee, candy, and cookie; A indicates the products are produced in A++ manufacturing skills and ingredients. Just like Moms insist feeding their families with the best food without any harmful ingredients, Camaca Chocolate wants to provide healthy food. As a popular European proverb goes, “Where there is chocolate, there is joy.” Camaca Chocolate tries to put joy and health into its foundation.

The five-degree cellar depot is the most distinguishing feature of Camaca Chocolate. At first, the owners tried to make nama chocolate at the temperature of 14 to 18 degrees, but the taste was not good enough. So the owners went abroad to Europe, America and Japan to study extensively about chocolate. They learned to use the same wine aging method to age the chocolate. It was to age the chocolate in a constant low temperature so that the hydro-molecules do not decrease but help maintain the smooth taste of chocolate. The key to this is to maintain the temperature at five degrees. The nama chocolate in Camaca Chocolate is produced under strict quality control at five degrees. And that is why the chocolate is named “Five-Degree Cellar Depot”.

Camaca Chocolate is a high-quality chocolate store. Its one-of-a-kind home-made macaron costs NT$60 each. The dual fillings inside makes it a luxury to have a bite. Let’s have a cup of coffee, cocoa, or milk tea, or ice cream to go with the nama chocolate, desserts, or pancakes here in Camaca Choolate in Dou-Liu.
