Logo Design

Angela and Tianne were responsible for the design of Yu-Tsai Bookworms' ID cards. First Angela and Tianne used PhotoImpact to draw the style that they wanted. Then they added the team members' names and photos to finish the cards. After we printed the cards, we had to carefully slot them into their plastic holders. After a fair amount of hard work, the ID cards were finally born! From this day onwards, whenever we were on official Cyberfair business, we had to wear our ID cards. This not only identified us as Cyberfair team members, but also gave us a sense of purpose for the mission ahead!

Personalized Image

When making a Cyberfair website, apart from interesting content one can't forget to also add an element of cuteness! So every member of the team had to draw their own personalized likeness of themselves! Our teacher said that everyone drew their images with a lot of effort. It was gratifying to watch as everyone looked intently at their photo and carefully drew their picture. These wonderful images will later be used on the website to represent each member of our team!

Cyberfair Plan

Our teacher showed us the Cyberfair plan to let us understand how things would be during these 6 months. We need to do research from the day the bookstore was created until now, then interview people at the bookstore and attend activities to really understand what the store is doing. Finally, we need to share what we have learned about the bookstore to all the teachers and students in our school. We expect to the next six months to be extremely interesting and full of rewards.

Designing Topics for Interview with the Owner

Interviews are a very important part of the research process for the Cyberfair project. Everyone thought about topics from four different areas – the owner's personal life, the running of the store, activities and associations, and finally the future plans for the store. After the teacher finished organizing everyone's questions, she praised us for being able to come up with such excellent questions at our first attempt. She also praised ____and ___ for coming up with such creative questions that most people wouldn't think of.

Researching Information from the Small Small Bookshop Website

When we were designing questions for Sappho, everyone had already looked at the bookstore's website and got an idea about it. The teachers continued to give each group different tasks to do, as well as teaching us how to collate the data. After we combined the written format and the content, we were then able to start organizing the data from the website. After this task, we discovered that we weren't all able to schedule our time together easily, and that arranging a time to meet together required a lot of communication and negotiation. The research that we still have to do is going to have even more challenges in the future. Everyone must work hard, overcome difficulties, and most of all never give up!
