I love books so I opened a bookstore. During the process of opening a bookstore, my family and partner supported me. Although there were some bad times, like traveling abroad to buy books was so tiring! But my love of books pulled me through!

Visiting Other Bookstores

I have been to all of the bookstores in northern Taiwan. My favorite is Jiujuxiang because they have so many old books. Part of the reason I opened a bookstore was because of their influence. The owner is also a good friend and I have learned a great deal from him.

The Importance of Bookstores

The happiest thing about owning a bookstore is that I get to share the books I love with others. It’s not just a bookstore to me. We also hold exhibtitions and try to reach out to the community. And not only in Taiwan, we have also held activities in Japan and around Asia.

Basically anything that I like goes in the store!

Xiabeichi Bookstore was in a building, like a cartoon scene. If you turn around, there will be a surprise. The bookshop didn’t need to be beautiful, or with great decorations. In fact, if they had special emotional connections to books. All of the bookstores, no matter big or small, were all the great.
