The Small Small Association built up for years, making contact and cooperating with bookstores around Taiwan. We were moved by the stories of so many bookstores and we hope there can be more independent bookstores in Taiwan in the future. We drew up plans at the end of the year to make a map that would show the location of all the independent bookstores in Taiwan. After a year of preparation and collecting data we finished the 2012 Taiwan Independent Bookstores Map. We received a lot of support from the Culture Department and were able to produce 10,000 copies of the map to give to the independent bookstores around Taiwan. We want to thank everyone who provided information and made corrections. We regret that some stores express their wish not to be included in the map because of operating considerations. We hope that in the future we'll have a chance to make corrections and we hope that we can reprint the map every year. 10/17/2012 Sappho
