It was my first time to touch so many kinds of instruments, and I ask several teachers equipped with orchestra knowledge. They didn't share any experience with me. Thus, I started to do everything on my own. This courage helped me remove obstacles and also influenced my students. Every time a new team was organized, some students felt frustrated and said that they only know how to play the piano. I encouraged them and played their instruments for them, let them know that learn something new is not as difficult as they imaged.
Eventually, they started to become curious not tense, and have fun with me when practicing. They got closer to me, and we had the same goal. I am really happy to have their company but a little bit sad about their graduation.
In fact, this team owned great resources, but too many teachers took turns to take charge of this club. Therefore, when my turn to take charge of it, it was my nightmare. The club was a big mess, and some instruments were broken or gone. I took many days to clean the place. But I was happy to spend time staying there. Thus, our principal decided to let me deal with this club without taking turns. It was good since I could take care of the property of this club. However, I need to do everything on my own. I had to consider how to find the budget to fix the classroom and instruments. Besides, I tried to arrange songs by myself because songs written by others took lots of money and the performance effect was not good. This year, my students grow a lot, and I try to earn the performance opportunities for them, for example, "Taiwan kids, great!" of PTS(Public Television Service).
On the other hand, I developed their potential besides music. For example, they tried to make use of their voice to play a broadcasting drama, and I had a shot at modifying the scripts. They tried their best and won the third place. Most important is that in the annual national students music competition our team not only won the first place but also got the especially excellent standard. We broke the school's records. In 2013's Christmas, we held three Christmas concerts for in our school, and we found out that school children got much closer to us even it was our first try.
It is my honor to join Cyberfair. Thanks for our school teachers Shir-Leen Chiang and Chia-Fen Hsu to instruct teammates patiently about this website. And they kept company with us. I am very glad to grow up with my students, and I learned more knowledge besides music. Additionally, thanks for our principal' s trust, Dean of general affairs, Dai-Ling Xiong providing Children Orchestra new practice room and instruments, Dean of Academic affairs, Shih-Ying offering us lots of suggestions and help, and also thanks to Ms. Ming-Zhu for caring us and helping print files. Moreover, I am very thankful to every staff's support and parents' help. At last, I have to say thank you to all of my students, and I'm so proud of you. Because of you, I can go forward.
