Good Books Shouldn’t Be Lonely, Pass Them On!
The Yu-Tsai Bookworms were trying their best to emulate Small Small Bookshop and promote reading in the community. We were trying to introduce a love of reading to all of the students and teachers in our school. Then we wanted to extend our reach into the community with the second-hand book sale.
Through this activity, we hope that everyone can find books that they like and get into reading.

Event
Decorating the Area
As soon as we got there, everyone got busy setting up the tables in an M-shape. Then we set up the books in different sections based on value. After a messy start, we got the whole place set up and ready for the customers! |
Charity Sale
When everyone was in place, the second-hand book sale was formally under way!
In order to let the local community know about the activity, the Bookworms split into promotional teams! We went to supermarkets, librarys, parks and even the streets and alleys nearby to pass on the news.
After walking around promoting, people started to come in droves to find books that suit them. We hope the low prices of the books can give everyone as chance to find books that they like. |
Handing out Library Cards
During the event, the director of the library came especially to hand over the library cards for our classmates. He said “ After you get these, you will have a whole lot more books that you can read!” |
A Perfect Ending
As the event was finishing, it came to a perfect ending! Books found new owners, our classmates discovered new books, and the community got another chance to read. It was a great day! |
