The Shenmu Seafood Shop is as old as the West Market. The No. 100 rusty address number plate tells its long history. The 70 year old owner, Masa, is still very healthy. He started his career with relatives in the West Market. He is now teaching everything he knows to his grandchildren. This seafood stand will be taken over by the third generation of his family in the future.

Masa has a charming smile. Having witnessed the history of the West Market, we learned a lot of history by having a conversation with him. We think that it is not fish but history that Masa is selling at his stand.
