2015/02/06 Interview report on Mr. Chi-sheng Liu[Yu-ling Hsiao]

       A group of senior high school students who were not very understanding of Dacheng wheat went to home of Mr. Chi-sheng Liu (the monitor of Dacheng Wheat’s Production and Marketing Group) for the first time. His introduction of wheat was unequivocal without omission and full of sense of humor! We were all excited but not nervous in this interview again!

       When we sat down, each handed a pen and a piece of paper, we began to ask questions. “Excuse me, Mr. Liu, what kind of mentality you have and how to cultivate when you started to grow wheat," the first student asked. “we hold a view of making an attempt when we begin to plant, unlike the common grow, our philosophy was insisted that there was no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, don’t scare birds, which was similar to run its own course (laughs), because the wheat was a kind of dry farming which don’t need too much water and easy to survive,” he answered gently. Just a few words alone had expressed the core problem fully, I couldn’t help admiring him.

    After his speech, my hand notes were too full to overflow and these characters were all the colorful stories about Dacheng Wheat’s Production and Marketing Group. [Yu-ling Hsiao]

2015/02/06 Interview report on Mr. Chi-sheng Liu[Yu-han Lou]

       Mr. Liu, who raised ducks throughout the year, took over the farmlands of family the year before last. After met with Mr. Ming-huang Shih, holding the mentality of just have a try, he contract grew 0.7 hectares of wheat with Joy & Hope Workshop. For it was the first time to farm, he even confounded with the weeds and wheat, but also because he knew nothing about agriculture, he fully complied with Mr. Ming-huang Shih’s leave words, no pesticides, fertilizers, not poison birds and left the wheat standing, to our surprise he made a great coup that his wheat grown better than many farmers with experiences of 3 or 4 years.

    For Dacheng Township, Mr. Liu hoped it become the first brand of wheat growing. Once mentioned wheat, you would associate with Dacheng Township, the home of wheat. So the advantages of growing wheat must be extended to everywhere of Dacheng Township, let it be the wheat town of Taiwan.[Yu-han Lou]
