The “Joy& Hope Wheat production record system” platform
In December 2009, we applied our experience on the “Mobile Production Record System” to the constructing of the Joy& Hope Wheat production record system platform. We hope to provide producers, processers, consumers and service provider a transparent and friendly communication platform where its users could care for one another, learn from one another and grow together. Furthermore, through it we could also establish the foundation data on wheat planting and provide amateur farmers a mean of reference in farming management.
Computer is the best tool for communication and connecting with external resources. Nevertheless, it wasn't perfect. To the elder farms, holding a computer mouse may be harder than picking up a hoe. Therefore, apart from setting computer work stations, we must also make the learning experience non-stressful, convenient and interesting. We also stationed typing personnel for the convenience of elder farmers. Indeed an efficiently production record has nothing to do with the age of its recorder. In fact, the farmers of Yuanli Township, Miaoli County were the best at using the wheat production record system!
However, the activation of the traceable agricultural product system of Joy & Hope Fantasy 4.0 faced many restrictions and problems regarding Natural farming and agricultural management. The system was not the only problem, there also problem with the people. Therefore, we continue to reflect on our mistakes and thrive to move forward. |
