Expect the Glory of Innovative Musical Notes

Instructors of Cyberfair / Chia-Fen Hsu

We always hear beautiful music from the school activity center every morning and noon. I think, "Wow! The club is so hard-working." The students use their own spare time to practice. And Ms. Liu is the most tiring. She has lots of lessons to teach besides training the orchestra. It would be hard for her to continue the job if she doesn't love it.

Seeing that Ms. Liu and the members of the Children Orchestra love music so much, I have an impulse to know about the Children Orchestra and to spread the touching feeling to others. After thinking about the topic, I asked the instructor of the Children Orchestra and she agreed passionately, which made me overjoyed. I also asked Ms.  Liu to help invite orchestra members to join in the Cyberfair project. With Ms Liu's call, nine band members joined in the research. One student who was interested in the Children Orchestra also joined the team. The Cyberfair team was then officially formed with the participation of Ms. Chiang, a faithful supporter of the Children Orchestra.

At the first Cyberfair curriculum training, we invited Director Shih-Ying Chung to share the awarded study of Cyberfair. Then we had students brainstorm and draw mind maps for the study. We later on decided on the name "Innovative Musical Notes" as the team name, wishing each Children Orchestra member to improve their musical skills. All the group members designed their own images on the web and made the posters together by learning to use computer graphic programs. We also interviewed the concertmaster of each instrument and visited National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. We interviewed the funding principal and teacher, learning the reasons and the hard-work of the establishment. We recorded the Children Orchestra performance and competitions, realizing the countless practice behind each success. The participation of the show "Taiwan Kids, Great!" broadened students' horizons. The three in-campus concerts displayed the result of students' effort and had all the teachers and students experience the allurement of the Children Orchestra. Most of the members worked on the project diligently, though two members withdrew from the team due to their late achievement. Watching that the kids finish their assigned jobs, I felt that everyone was so great.

With the forming of the project page, I was so touched. Every word in the pages recorded the steps and fruits of the team Innovative Musical Notes, thanks for your diligent participation on Cyberfair. Special thanks to Ms Fang-Min Liu and Ms Shir-Leen Chiang for their big support and help to the members. At last, I would like to yell proudly, Innovative Musical Notes is excellent!
