We held three Christmas Eve Concerts in campus in 2013's Christmas. We would like to understand what kids thought and their opinions are, so we design a questionnaire.

The plan for the questionnaire

Information

There are 140 graders, and there are 177 fifth and sixth graders.

Question 1In this concert, we played three songs, including : (1)Santa Claus is coming to town; (2)The Phantom of the Opera; (3)Por Una Cabeza. Which song is your favorite? Why?

Most students indicated that they liked The Phantom of the Opera. As the style of it was really special. The second one was Santa Claus is coming to town, because it built merry Christmas atmosphere. The last one is Por Una Cabeza, and they showed that it was exotic.

sometimes it's significant when the Phantom shows up,

sometimes Christine sings tenderly. And sometimes it rocks. I feel great.

Question 2This concert showed you every kind of instrument. What kind of instruments is your favorite?

They had their own favors. Some liked piano, xylophone, and accordion, due to the beautiful sounds. Some love Triangle, Xylophone, and Glockenspiel, because of the special sound. Some love the sound of drums, gong, and cymbals, and some enjoy listening to timpani and drum set.

Most of students felt like listening to more songs, and they really enjoyed this performance a lot.

Question 4(Q1) As amember of Children Orchestra, what kind of ability or characteristic do you think one should have?
(Q2) Would you like to join the orchestra if you already meet the standard that the team wants? Why?

Q1

Students think one should have interests, carefulness, patience, and persistence, at the same time, one should be able to play some musical instrument and be capable of studying well.

Q2

Not do many students want to join it, because they think it might add more burdens to their study. And some of them already participate in other school clubs, and some are afraid they cannot do it well or are not interested in. Some want to participate in the orchestra because they think taking part in the performances or competitions is an honored thing. And still some would like to elevate their music ability, and want to learn more types of instrument.

Question 5Please write down the feedback of this music performance.

Students provided highly evaluation to it. As the melodious sounds made people happy and stress-free, students also praised the orchestra a lot. They really thought the team was great. Besides, kids understand they practice very hard. They really enjoyed the music so much.

After listening to it, I really want to continue to listen to other songs.

Most students are reluctant to participate in Children Orchestra. Actually, I feel frustrated, and I'm afraid that no one will play music there in the future. However, in the last question of the questionnaire, most of them showed satisfation. I felt more pleased with the result. Through the results of the questionnaire, I understood the feelings of most students. These opinions inspire us a lot.
