Independent books stores aren’t just about the buying and selling of books. Creating a suitable reading space is what makes them unique. The partners all agree that what makes independent bookstores so valuable is that they are not subject to the usual market constraints like chain stores are. This was one of the first things they agreed upon, and had allowed them to keep their own unique identity.
