Tips for Flower Purchasing

Everyone has encountered once or twice the situation that the flowers you bought home didn’t blossom; or, half of the flowers’ pedals were blown away on the way home. How do we avoid such unpleasant experience? Here are some tips of flower purchasing as well as florescence for various flowers for your reference:

Each and every cut flower has a different life span, for example, the life span of flamingo flowers and chrysanthemums could be as long as a week but roses could not last for more than a week. So, please choose flowers according to your using purposes.

Cut flowers of the same specie have approximately the same life span. The life span of flower in bud and slightly blossoming is not that different. Thus, we suggest that you do not choose flowers with bud-coloring not fully complete for an extended florescence to avoid the situation where flowers don’t blossom due to hard buds.

Do not choose flowers in full blossom (unless they are to be given away right away). The better choice is flowers that, when touching, feel full and elastic to the hand and buds are slightly open with strong stems and leaves and fresh colors.

Do not forget to touch the end of stem for slipperiness. If it’s slippery, the slipperier it feels, the longer period of time it has been purchased.

Check if the water in the container is clean or not or has any odor. Dirty water is prone to bacteria and will have bad affects on cut flowers’ lifespan.

Please choose flowers in season because they are not only fresh but also cheap. These flowers are in full blossom at cheap prices and are perfect choice for economical and healthy considerations.
