Working in design is like passing something through a sieve. First you take a broad perspective to consider every possibility. Then you find the core elements and choose what works.
Work Journal Reflections and thoughts Card Sending Activity Behind The Story

We spent three months setting up the website. Along the way we met up for a lot of meetings, traveled south to visit Professor Lin’s exhibition, interviewed Professor Lin’s family, friends and students. A lot of interesting things happened, and we were thrilled to see our website slowly appear before our eyes. We are very grateful to all the people, teachers, parents and partners who had helped us in the past month, so we decided to transfer our thanks into drawings or words, and give them to our dear teachers, parents and Professor Apex Lin.

Thank you Professor Lin and our teachers at Xinsheng Elementary School

 Yu-Chen

DearDear Professor Lin,
We are going to finish our assignment soon. We saw a lot of your work when we did our research, and we like them very much. I can’t draw very well, but I do know that I have to work hard. I hope we will see more of your work in the future, because I really like your style.

 Hsiang-Jung

Dear Professor Lin,
Your style is very unique. I like the way you portray items in the shape of Taiwan, it’s very special.

 Yi-Hua

Dear Professor Lin,
Thank you very much for letting us interview you. We are so happy to meet the “real” you, and your works are very innovative. During the interview, you said we should first be different, then try to be good at it. I really like this saying, we have to be different than others first, then try to be better. I really love to draw. When I draw, I feel relaxed and carefree. I like to draw people, but I usually draw characters that appear in cartoons or comics. I should create my own characters. Thank you Professor Lin, you inspired me!

 Tzu-Liang

Dear Professor Lin,
I can see your own style and your love for your country in your work!

 Yi-Ming

Dear Dear Professor Lin,
I’m very inspired by all of your work, thank you so much!

 Kuei-Ying

Dear Dear Professor Lin,
Thank you so much for making time for our interview, and for answering all our questions. Thank you!

 Meng-Jie

Dear Dear Professor Lin,
People used to say that I’m a very good artist, but after seeing your work, I realize I still have a long way to go. So I need to work harder and practice harder, and one day I’ll be better than you! Ha-ha!

 Hao-Wen

Dear Ms. Lu,
Thank you for your greeting card from freezing Korea! This is the first time I received a hand-written postcard, I’m so touched. I’ll send postcards to my friends from places around the world in the future!

 Yu-Ting

Dear Ms. Lu,
We got the postcards you sent from Korea, it’s such a great surprise and we are touched.
