Aug., 25. 1958

Mr. Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin Food invented instant noodles.

1962

Myojo Food (Japan) ¡§Myojo Ramen¡¨ was the earliest instant noodles with flavoring pack.

1966

Tokyo Fishery (Japan) first introduced the new products of non-deep fried noodles.

1967

¡§Shengli Noodles¡¨ of Int¡¦l Food Co. (Taiwan) Japan was the first pack of instant noodles in Taiwan market. Weilih Food introduced ¡§Weilih Noodles¡¨ in the same year and it was the first pack of instant noodles made by Taiwanese.

1969

¡§Sapporo Noodles¡¨ introduced by the subsidiary of Myojo Food (Japan) designed the liquid soup pack for adding the oil which supplemented the disadvantage of non-deep fried noodles.

1970

1. Japan introduced instant noodles to
   Singapore where the noodles were sold to
   Southeast Asia, India, New Zealand,

  
Australia, Europe, America and even
   Africa. Instant noodles were thus
   promoted to the world.
2. Uni-president (Taiwan) introduced Uni-
   present Noodles, Vewong Co. had
   technical cooperation with Myojo Food
   (Japan) and produced ¡§Prince Noodles¡¨.

1971

1. Nissin Food introduced ¡§Nissin Cup
   Noodles¡¨ and divided instant noodle
   market into pack noodles and cup
   noodles.
2. Instant noodle production plants in
   Taiwan were increased to 7 factories;
   however, at the time, the production of
   Taiwan instant noodles still focused on
   pack noodles.

1972

Japan introduced bowl noodles and Taiwan followed.

1988

1. Ilan Food (Taiwan) cooperated with Hongshim (Korea) and developed and introduced Lang Wei cup noodles which were the ancestor of Taiwan cup noodles.

2. Namchow Co. (Taiwan) produced Little Chef series in the plants of Thailand and sold them back to Taiwan. However, they still focused on Taiwanese flavor.

Nov., 1989

Simadaya Store of Nissin Food introduced ¡§fresh noodles¡¨ of non-deep fried noodles which had the convenient characteristic of instant noodles and the taste of cooked noodles.

1992

Kingcar Food (Taiwan) introduced Hanbao series of ¡§paper cup¡¨ instant noodle in 1992.

July, 1992

Dinghsin Co. (Taiwan) entered Mainland China and instant noodles swept across China in the name of ¡§Master Kong¡¨.

March, 1997

1.Japan fastfood noodle food industry held
 ¡§the first international fastfood ramen
   summit¡¨ and established International
  Ramen Manufactures Association (IRMA).
2.Tokyo City Government treated instant
  noodles as emergency food supply.

1999

Holding ¡§the second international fastfood ramen summit¡¨ in Indonesia
