New look of Si-Si Nan Cun(the Village)

After the restruction, Si-Si Nan Cun became the Xinyi Public Assembly Hall, presenting a completely new appearance. The remains of the main building structure are devided into four parts and named Hall A, Hall B, Hall C, and Hall D (the four halls and the square in the middle are currently in the charge of the Taipei Bureau of Civil Affairs), and the space facing Zhuangjing Road is installed as the Cultural Park of Military Dependents' Village

Information for each House of the Xinyi Public Assembly Hall

A.Special Exhibition House: Open to individuals, groups or organizations for displays or exhibitions of arts or cultural works, including works presentations, personal works exhibitions, fulfillment displays, graduation presentations etc.

B.Military Dependant Quarter Exhibition House: Mainly for dynamic exhibitions for Si-Si-Nan Cun culture including topics such as Trek of History, Military Dependant Quarter Literature, Village Mothers, Village Delicacies, Human Life Handcrafts, and Multi-media Theater etc.

C.Good Cho’s: Good Cho’s is a combination for cafe, part lifestyle general store.
D.Community House: Mainly open to District residents of meeting, watching movies, and groups of for people to practice, show or study indoors.

 

Historic buildings and cultural landscape

There are the Bunker、Air-raid shelterVillage's office,and the memorial large banyan trees in Si-Si Nan Cun.

 

Nan Cun's new building

After reconstruction of Military Dependants' Quarters, most of habitants in Si-Si Nan Cun moved to the new building opposite to the Xinyi Public Assembly Hall.
