Readers Clubs

The Yu-Tsai Booksworms were lucky enough to join a book club activity on the 11th of November, 2012. This time the event was about comics and so there were a lot of cartoonists there. They shared with us the creative process. It was really interesting and a rare opportunity for us. Even though a lot of what was discussed was too difficult for us, we still gain a lot from it.

Bookworm Says:
Because many readers can only attend the activity after work or after school, so most of Small Small Bookshop’s activities are held in the evening. Today’s book club activity started at 7:30pm sharp. The opening was conducted by Mr. Hung-Hung, who’s a poet and also a director. He introduced to the audience the 4 authors who shared their creative experience and their favorite comic books with us.
One of the authors was Xiao Si who introduced his work “Social Comics – Citizen’s Soapbox” to us. In the Q&A session, many people asked and discussed currently the hottest social issue: Taiwan’s 4th nuclear power plant. I learned a lot about this issue and about citizenship.

After this event, I learn more things about the comic. These activity really impressed me.In addition, a book I feel like complex, I still prefer the leisurely painting. The things that we did helped lower grades to learn new things.
