Jingmei Xianji Yan Temple
In 1946, Jingmei people founded Jingmei
Scenery Construction Committee. The committee was led by Mr.
Lin to build Xianji Yan Temple. The temple was built on the
Xianji Rock Hiking Trail, and its main court serves a god-Lu
Dongbin. In the front, the doorways are set with a few
tables and benches so that visitors can take a rest and chat
there.
Mount Xianji Rock has many beautiful scenes,
such as Long Life Road, Saint Hillside, Ling-Yun Road, Ming-Da
Platform, Ramble Range, Imperial Wind Pavilion and Root-Hug
Stone. Besides, Mt. Xianji Rock’s library was opened to the
public in 1972. Now the 1st floor provides a
plenty of room for people to do drawing and chatting and for
kids’ playing there. Restrooms are available, too.
As a matter of fact, Xianji Yan Temple is
also one of the best places for people to see fireworks
during New Year countdown. Standing at the temple square,
you can have a complete view of Taipei 101 building.
Therefore, next year to avoid the crowds in Xin-Yi District,
I would recommend you to come to Xianji Yan Temple and see
fireworks for greeting the New Year.
