Jingmei Jiing Temple
Jiing temple’s address is No.37, Jingmei
Street. It used to be built in Jingwei (southern part of
Jingmei Elementary School). The temple is served with a god,
King Baoyi. Due to bad fengshui, the temple was moved to
Jingwei Street in Tung-Chih 6th year (1867).
Four hundred yeas ago, Anshi people migrated
to Taipei. Because most of them were tea farmers, they chose
Wensen, a wet hillside where was good for growing tea trees.
In the mean time, they brought their gods - King Baoyi, Dr.
Baoyi and Qingshui Zushi.
Jiing Temple is a spectacular and beautiful
architecture. Many people burn incense and worship the gods
in the temple. This temple has been repaired several times
by Kao family and they are also in charge of the temple’s
major events. So, it is worth visiting the temple that owns
both geographic and cultural characteristics.
