it will be the 13th one; this also attracts the
relative band clubs, students, teachers no matter from domestic
or abroad to enjoy together with this Band Marathon likely
a annual big-scale Music Festival. |
| During
the period, “Musix Co., Ltd.” sent a R&D staff to be on
the site supplying the free service for basic repair and maintenance.
Once the weekend, there added one more staff to have presentation
and instruments sold. Offering with the free gifts for publics,
it increased the positive effects to promote their OEM brand
of “Jupiter” items; it also brought this brand to each corner
of the world in the same time under the ways of using projector

The Brief Introduction of “Chiayi
City International Band Festival” |

Most of people thought
that Chiayi was a beautiful town, but as the years passed
by, it has been turning into a “Band Music City”. |

With having 11-year experiences
on “Chiayi City Band Festival”, it is more familiar
by neighborhood countries such as Asia regions even
global countries to know that it plays an important
role among the Taiwan’s famous music activities.

By
the end of each year, Chiayi City Band Festival starts
under the residents’ enthusiastic anticipation. This
is not only supplying a stage for publics or music teams
to show annually, but also a good chance to let our
citizens or fans to know well about these famous music
groups abroad. |

When
the loud and clear brass band instrumental ensemble
and wood-wind instruments played together; it mixed
with the cheerful atmosphere from the audiences globally.
This made the city of Chiayi, situated on the Tropic
of Cancer, to have another face showing with the full
energy of Taiwan. |

Tracing
back to the history of band music in Chiayi city, it
can reviews from the year of 1931 of Japanese ruling
Taiwan to present the 1st local wood-wind
instrument club established in Chiayi senior high school,
the band music in Chiayi city has been spreading over
gradually. After 50 years later, with the growing economics
and information population in Taiwan, there a lot of
senior high schools started to retrofit their traditional
military music bands or drum bands as the new ones which
play the various or classical music. |

After
holding a “Music Lovers' Unified Performance of the
Band Music”, this received a lot of applause from publics
and started its afterwards big-scale music activities
at the end of every year in Chiayi city. From the “the
first Band Music Festival organized by Chiayi Municipal
Cultural Center in 1993、“1997
International Band Music Festival in Chiayi”、
“7th Chai-I Band Music Festival”、in
1999 “2000 Asia Band Music Festival in Chiayi”
、”the
9th Band Music Festival in 2000”、
“2001 International Band Music Festival in Chiayi” and
“ 2002 International Band Music Festival in Chiayi”.
We will step into the 12th Band Music Festival;
annual activities all received the welcomes from publics
even caused the most attentions from global music units.
With accumulated more 10-year experiences on it, it
goes without saying that “Chiayi is the capital for
Music band”. |

The
“2003 the 12th International Band Music Festival
in Chiayi” was held from Dec. 26th, 2003
to Jan. 4th, 2004 which was organized by
ChiaYi City Government who invited the outstanding music
bands from Asia Pacific regions and domestic ones to
join this. The whole program included: indoor and outdoor
concerts、
International Band Marathon、Marching
Band Parade、
Art in the Street、Wind
Instruments Exhibition、Photo
Exhibition、Traditional
Folk Customs of Taiwan and New Year's Eve Festival activities.
The locations of these were in Chiayi Municipal Cultural
Center、
Concert Hall、
streets、Chung
Cheng Park、Stadium.
Yet, band music is shown in the ways of indoor、
outdoor, besides these, marching band parade is totally
another unique style to display under the way of music
groups’ playing musical instruments together with ordered
procession during march. This did catch a lot of attraction
from publics. |
