Sandimen Handicraft Trail By:JIANG HAO TIAN
People of the whole village got together to create the 453 meter long
handcraft trail. 1,212 ceramic plates displayed along the trail were painted by
village elders and children. A walk on the trail is like a tour of the village’s
handicraft workshops. Start with Oko Arts and Craft Studio and then go to
Shataowu Workshop. The workshop has the glass block prints done by the father
and is made all the more interesting by the dancing of the eldest daughter,
weaving done by the second daughter and coffee made by the third daughter
After walking the trail you can order your tasty lunch from Dageifali Food Mill.
The proprietress insists on carefully selecting ingredients, and spending time
preparing and cooking dishes, which is why she serves such delicious traditional
aborigine foods.
Go on next to Dragonfly Beads Art Studio. It may remind you of the “Pearl of
Cape No.7.”A walk down handicraft trail will give you a chance to view
outstanding aborigine handicrafts and buy them if you wish to.
