  About   Groceries

          When we walk on the Dihua Street,we often hear people talkig about groceries.

          “Groceries” are mean food that come from everywehere and dried food.Taiwan’s busineemen usually called “ Jiao” as shops in Ching Dynasty.The origin of groceries is the unions trading in the harbors.Ranging from grain to processed food,we all called “groceries”.

Groceries can be divided into three kinds:

      (A) Seafood：Shark fin,abalone,sea-tangle,salted-jellyfish, , mullet roe, Neritic Squid, sea cucumber,dried oyster and dried bonito……etc.

(B) Moutain food：Matsutake, bird’s nest soup,peanut,ganoderma lucidum,black fungus,white fungus,mushroom and lotus seed……etc.

       (C)Melon vegetable：Sunflower seed,watermelon seed,walnut,nut and candy……etc.

Mushroom is one of the mountain food

        With the changes of times,groceries are different from past. They usually sold dried food in the past,but they sell instant food now,like retort pouchs and cans…..etc.For catching up with people’s diet habbits and convenience,they change the styles of groceries’ packings.
