Tennis racket string tension Overview

  • Low tension (below 20 lbs)
    -Its benefit is elastic regardless the string. It is relatively easy to pull the ball and lob the ball, but not able to accurately control the ball and have excellent performance.
  • Medium tension (21-23 lbs)
    -
    good flexibility and control, but weakens the power.
  • High tension (23-25 pounds)-most people’s choice.
  • High tension (25-27 pounds)-the touch is very hard and low string elasticity.
  • Very high tension (28 or more)-ultimate control.
    Users usually go through formal training with the skills to attack and protect themselves.
  • General users tennis racket tension of 48 to 65 pounds!
  • More powerful with lower lbs
  • Better control with higher lbs l (for experienced players).
    More powerful with longer string
  • More power comes out of low string-bed density
  • More power comes out of finer string
  • More power comes out of elastic string
  • Vibration less with soft string
  • The finer the string, the more it can spin ball
