  To approach FASDT further we arranged an interview to the soul members, the art director Faidaw Fangod and the leader Wadan Dusy.

Q1: Why located your office at Shoufeng township?

A1: Actually we always wanted to move to Taitung or Hualien, it was happened in 2007, one of the committee who owns the land would like to release it as our current office.

Q2: How FASDT obtain the budget? And how you make the income?

A2: We apply the budget from the Council of Culture or from the Local Government, in additional we also earn from the sales of performance ticket or related commercial goods.

Q3: Are the stage dresses the up to date style or old-fashioned?

A3: We follow the most traditional style and because connected with our study, the aborigines feel like to wear the traditional dress more and more, it seems to be the phenomenon of returning spirit.

Q4: How do you prepare the dress? Tailor it or borrow it?

A4: We borrowed some as samples for the manufacturer to tailor, very few are really from the tribe.

Q5: How do you recruit the members?

A5: It is different from general troupe, we recruit yearly and train the candidates from zero, the skill base of song and dance is not necessary but only aborigine, so that lot of candidates are from Hualien and Taitung.

Q6: Are the field studies scheduled or by occasional?

A6: We plan for the project for several years therefore it is not happened occasionally.

Q7: When you go field study?

A7: Whenever finish the annual performance, we go survey next year.

Q8: Is the performance only singing till the end of program?

A8: Former performance did but recently in “Memories of AZALEA Mountain- a tribute to Mr. Kao-Yi-San” it mixed with drama. We invited a professional dramatic teacher Mr. Su-Da to join us and conduct the dancers to act hopefully the FASDT can give more to the audience.
