In
2003, the TV commercial for Toyota Surf VX-4 4WD had the following
description, “In Holi, there is a group of music lovers who
not only play instruments, but they also make their own instruments.
The saxophones they make have put them on the map.” This
description tells a tale of the saxophone culture in Holi,
as well as the torch being passed from generation to generation.
The tradition started with the forefather Mr. Chang Lien-cheng,
and it is now in the hands of the fourth generation. |
