Brass Instruments
Without Reeds, we have to use our lips to vibrate the air to make sounds; this is brass instrument. These musical instruments are formed with MouthpieceSound Tube and Ictus Tube; Brass instruments are applied with it’s the length of tube and overtone to have varied tones.
 

 

Trumpet:
Trumpet is a thin metal made Bell tube. At the end of one forth length, it is enlarged to be as a Horn Bell. With three pieces pistons, you have to use the forefinger, middle and ring fingers of right hand to press these; while your left hand has to assist to support the instrument. The tone sounds are majestic and resonated and treated as “the soprano of the Brass Instruments”. The most common used are bB
F and A. You can say that Trumpet is the most important instrument between orchestra and military bands; it plays as a role of a theme in the ensemble. Trumpet is more popular by Modern music and Jazz Music because of its various tones; by the way, it is in treble clef.

Cornet:
The Gamut of the Cornet is the same as Trumpet; but the tube body is shorter and thicker than the latter one. Cornet has a deeper mouthpiece; what the skill it needed is much simple. Main of the tone it used is bB also coming with the same gamut as Trumpet.

Trombone:
Trombone is right the Slide Trombone; also is called Tenor Trombone which is belonged to be the Alto Bass instruments among the Brass musical instruments. Trombone is with two times of trumpet in length and is the only one instrument without keys to play among Brass instruments. Using Hand Slide up and down, it is able to make sounds. Usually, there are Tenor
Alto and Bass. You have to use the right hand to pull forward and backward to move the hand slide, then to use the air to control and make sounds. In additions to the main features of brilliant, rich, wide tones; the glide one is the same, too. This enriches the luxury during the ensemble. While the gamut is an octave lower than trumpet; it is around three octaves range. During the orchestral music, Trombone plays a role of Alto Bass; most of the time, it is in Bass clef or in inferior Alto Bass.

Trombone is the only one instrument without using keys to play among the Brass instruments. The tones are grand and solemn without resounding; its glide is the outstanding feature which is not easy to be imitate by other musical instruments. French Horn:
French Horn is one of the Alto Brass instruments. The external is coiled the long tube up as the circle; the end of Bell is enlarged as a funnel.
