originated somewhere in the Tawu Mount, equivalent to their Kingdom known as "
Paiwan ". The Paiwan spread out from the place, so they used ˇ§Paiwanˇ¨ as their
race name. Paiwan people distributed in Taiwan South, in the Central mountain
range East and west sides, also was in 500~1,300 meters above sea level to the
mountain. His area included in Pingtung County townships, Taiwuxiang, Majiaxiang,
Laiyixiang, Chunrixiang, and Shizixiang, Mudan Township, and Man-Chou as well in
Chinfeng Rural Township in Taitung County, and Darenxiang, and Da Wu Xiang.
The Rukai people mainly live in the south of Central Mountain
with the east and west sides. West of the mountains is two branches, including
the West Rukai distribute at the Ailiao River, and ˇ§Three communityˇ¨ located at
the mouth of Muddy Creek Watershed
