In the museum,the Room 104 is the most attractive to us.There are Pu-Die Drama, Puppet Drama ,Leather Shadow Drama and so on.Now, let’ s talk about these all kinds of folk arts.
The Pu-Die Drama is also called the Hand Drama because the puppet is controlled only by the hands. This kind of art appeared in the Ming Dynasty. The story was that there was a young man. He did’t do very job in the great test and he was very sad after the test. On his way home, he met an old man and the old man gave him a wooden puppet to may the young man good luck in the test. However, the young man failed again in the test. He got a idea that he could play the puppet to ease himself and entertain others. Later, he played the puppet better and better. He finally became the first master of Pu-Die Drama or the Hand Drama.
In the Pu-Die Drama, leather shadow Drama and the puppet drama , puppets are important elements in the drama. They have many functions such as praying, entertainment, education, art and economy. What’s more, From the historical relics stored in the museum, we could see the experiences of life and art. Besides, it also showed the characters of the age and local folk arts.

Leather Shadow Drama |
The Leather Shadow Drama was originated in the Han Dynasty. The kind of drama played in Taiwan belonged to the Chou Zhou Drama System in the mainland China. The puppets of the drama were made of cow leather. The player played the puppets behind the screen with light. The roles, songs and the plots made the leather drama a fantastic performance of art.

The Pu-Die Drama is a kind of folk art which is consisted of three elements:the embroiderer, the sculpture and the folk songs. In the past, Lu-Kang was the center of the folk arts in Taiwan. However, these kinds of arts are gradually replaced by other types of arts.

Sachets and Noodle Dolls |
Nowadays, the folk arts of making sachets and noodle dolls could only be seen during the relicious festivals. However, in the past, the Chinese women had to make the sachets in the Dragon Boat Festival and make the noodle dolls to please the deities and the families in the winter.
