Our school is located in the Taipei Wenshan District, it
belongs to the earlier Wenshan District, and we have long heard of the famous
Wenshan Baozhong tea name, it is a specialty product that is the pride of the
local people. Participating and advising in the competition this time, as well
as undergoing the research on “Wenshan Baozhong tea,” the students and I all
increased our knowledge and perspective. Through interviews we got to know many
enthusiastic and resolute people, quietly working for the
Taiwan
tea
industry.
That we could have such good results, I want to thank the
volunteer mothers for all your assistance, your encouragement and support was
our greatest strength. I also want to thank all the enthusiastic friends that
helped us, we are very grateful. Finally, I want to thank the “Chingshin Tea
Team” that I worked alongside with, each adorable student, we have seen your
growth and hard work, I hope in the future you can continue to shine!
At the very end, I hope that through the small but serious
efforts of our team, it can allow good fortune and a deep tea aroma to continue
to flow in every corner around us. |

Every research project is a new learning experience for
me, in terms of the knowledge and the content direction; I was like a slowly
absorbing sponge! This year, I was
really happy with the team atmosphere; it was like we all had grown up and
matured. We were not noisy like the years before and could propose questions
and modify the direction without the teacher constantly pushing us. Our
teamwork and mutual understanding was also excellent, our hard work paid off in
some other small areas as well, the poker competitions during our break time,
allowed my poker skills to dramatically improve.
Tea is an interesting topic, it was not until we started
our research did we discover the vast amount of information. In regards to the
history and the current environment, we can all see that tea has had an
important role in the economy, culture, and education… in
Taiwan
.
We all hope to become people with culture, we took what
we learned in school, along with all types of information, using the resources
of the community, we finally finished a meaningful research project – “Finding
Tea,” it was an exciting learning experience.
The experience that really made an impact on me was
Chairman Wang of Wang’s tea, maintaining such a graceful and ancient building
in such a busy district; the owner Mr. Wang’s perseverance of maintaining the
traditional industry and the gentle cultural atmosphere there really struck me.
He did not take the old building and renovate it into a skyscraper to sell,
through his individual strength, persevering for the culture of tea, and
maintaining a space for tea in the future!

Actually I am no stranger to brewing tea, but I only have
the knowledge of an outsider. The process of interviews, typing the project,
finding information, all provided me the chance to learn and gain valuable
experiences.
Interviewing is a link that cannot be missed in the
competition; we can gain a lot of knowledge and answers through interviewing
many specialists in various fields. What stands out most in my memory is going
to Wang’s Tea, the owner Mr. Wang not only took us to see the tea manufacturing
factory, he gave us an introduction about tea, took us to see the tea
production process, and taught everyone how to brew a good pot of tea, allowing
us to experience the joys of brewing tea. I think this is not an opportunity
you can obtain every day, so everyone cherished this experience even more.
Although the process of the competition this time was not
as smooth, but this caused it to be even more challenging, the ranking we
received naturally was not as important.

Before participating in the website topical research, I
did not know anything about tea, I only knew a little. But because we did this
“Chingshin Tea Team” research project, it allowed me to have a deeper
understanding of tea.
The reports I had done before were always easy and I did
not need to use the internet, because of this opportunity, I gained the
experience of doing a busy teamwork research project.
Doing a topical research
project was not as easy as I thought, you not only have to put in your full
effort, you have to take out a lot of time to do interviews and organize
information, there are also meetings that need to be held. Although doing this
project was a very tiring experience, but it was still a happy experience and I
have increased my perspective!
For any matter, if you do not participate in person, you
do not know the joys and sorrows, although it was very tough, I still gained a
lot, I now clearly know how to combine school, the community, and research.
Finally I want to thank our advisor, my teammates, and the volunteer mothers;
besides this, I want to thank all the elders that we interviewed, you really
allowed our content to be richer and fuller.

In the Chingshin Tea Team this time, although we
encountered all types of bottlenecks, but we still used perseverance to finish,
sometimes in my mind I wanted to run away, and sometimes I totally wanted to
give up, but I still wanted to continue to the end. Because although it was a
really tough process, but there was still a little pleasure, so I worked hard
to finish the project.
In the process of doing the project, it was very
emotional, I learned a lot of knowledge regarding tea, experienced all the
hardships of finishing something, and learned about the importance of teamwork.
If there was no spirit of teamwork, there would be no project this time, I
thank all my team members for doing this project and for teaching me many
things.

The hazy morning is just starting to brighten; I was
shivering in the cold thinking: “will these children appear?” But you all
arrived with red faces, I was filled with admiration.
The past few months, every meeting, every interview,
actually it gave my heart great joy, I was happy that our children did not have
the pressure of school entrance exams, they could use their imagination, and
say out-of-the-blue statements, often making us laugh! But their concentrating
faces during the interviews, and their careful search for “prey” in the museum,
these children caused me to gasp in amazement: “You really are so great!” I
often could not see these noisy children on the car as the same concentrating
children during interviews, they really could be both calm and active, I could
not help but thank Chingshin for teaching our children so well!
“You need to take time off again?” The teachers and the
mothers could not comprehend our “spoiling” them, after all entering high
school was their biggest dream, and the Basic Competence Test should be their
main goal!
But I believe concentrating on every research subject is
more important then the Basic Competence Test, the Basic Competence Test of
life is unlimited; the achievement of big dreams has no fixed form, it is
through constantly learning and growing. I believe in the race of life, when
the gun fires, “Chingshin Tea Team,” you will be the children that run the most
steadily!
