We organized the interview content
from the tour guide as below:
1.
Water and Soil conservation is very
important for the growth of tea trees.
2.
The
simulated rainfall splash erosion basins were divided into three areas, the
slope was around 16%, through the design of rainfall with equal strength, the
water buckets below allowed us to clearly observe the soil and water loss
situations when the earth has different covering methods.
3.
Because salinization
of the water in
Kaohsiung
, the water cannot be
drunk in
Kaohsiung
,
lately it has been improved.
4.
Terrace
fields are also called bench terraces, their function is to prevent the flow of
rapid streams, maintain temperature and humidity, and they can also prevent
debris flow caused by rain; farmers use this method to lower the costs of tea
production.
5.
Because of
the uncontrolled cutting, the rain cannot seep into the earth and become
underground water; originally it took three days for the rain to flow from the
mountain top to the bottom, now it only takes one day, so debris flow occurs easily.
6.
Golf
courses are very un-environmental places, in order to maintain the beauty of
the grass, it is necessary to use a lot of pesticides, they go from the
underground water into the dams and tea fields, causing eutrophication,
affecting the growth and quality of the tea!
7.
Because the
temperature and landscape of Wenshan District, it is well known for its
Baozhong tea; the Tieguanyin of Muzha District also has its own unique characteristics.
8.
The appearance of the
Guanyin flower is very much like a rose, it is often mistaken by people.
9.
The earth can allow
the positive ions to be releases from the body, so people living in the country
often live longer.
10.
For water and soil
conservation, the Tea Farmer’s Association will plant some grasses such as
Bahia grass, Bermuda grass, and Carpet grass, etc.
