Elementary school, home economic classroom.
There are quite
some techniques involved in making a rice dumpling. You have to fry and stir to
make some tasty fillings. And you have to wrap it tight, the rice would fall
out if you tied it loosely.
Procedure:
1. Prepare all the ingredients. (as shown on
the following photos)

A.Pre-fried glutinous rice.
|
B.Three layered pork. (some fat would make it
greasy and tasty)
|

C.Shitake mushroom (dried mushroom) and
salted egg yolk.
|
D. Pre-washed bamboo leaves.
|
|

2.Steps
|
A. Fold the bamboo leaves downward.
|
B.Reverse
and cross the leaves, turn upward and make it into the shape of a funnel.

C.Fill
in the glutinous rice, about half of the funnel.
|
D.Add
three layered pork.
|
|

E.Add
shitake mushroom and salted egg yolk
|
F.Fill
up the other half part with glutinous rice
|
|

G.Fold
the extra bamboo leaves back and tuck them in
|
H.ress
the whole rice dumpling hard and tight.

I.Tie it up with
strings and make it tight.
|
J.Make sure it’s
securely tied.
|
|

3.Place the wrapped rice dumplings in rice
cooker, steam them for 10-20 minutes, you can enjoy the delicious and chewy
rice dumpling.
