Dragon's sons

Time: June, 17th, 2007.

Location: Da-Jia riverside park, Zhong Shan district, Taipei city.

Our teammates and directing teachers, along with some parents, together a total group of 15, came to the site of 2007 Taipei International Dragon Boat Race.

It was scorching hot to the point that we almost got sunstroke.

We were anxious to find foreigners. We happened to run across some overseas students studying in Taiwan, they greeted us passionately.

We found this opportunity too good to miss, so we put the English we’ve learned for year to use. To our surprise, some of them can speak really good Chinese, and they can even write pretty well.

During our interview, we found out that not only overseas students teamed up to join the race, some of the racers are foreign businessman in Taiwan, they also teamed up on their own. Some of the racers are being invited by our city government.

All the foreigners were extremely passionate when we interviewed them. Especially when we took out the fragrant sachet as token of our appreciation at the end of the interview, we helped them wear on the sachets, to show our friendship. The other foreigners took our hands and said: I can be your interviewee. I want to be interviewed. That was so nice of them.
