Master Huang Chun-Ming is a well-known writer of folk literature in Taiwan and is the winner of 2nd National Literature & Arts. In his early days, he was famed in novel creation. His works, “Big Doll of My Son” “The Hat of Shao-Chi” “Taste of Apple” is very popular that they were made into films and caused great sensation. In addition to presenting stories of Master Huang Chun-Ming, in this project, we are going to introduce the Kid Troupe Master Huang Chun-Ming endeavors to promote in recently. He determined to root drama seed deep in Yilan Area to nurture and discover gifted person in drama. We put ourselves into the scenario and recorded their rehearsal and tournament and to feel the charm of Master Huang Chun-Ming and his Kid Troupe.

　　
Yilan is located at north west of Taiwan. It is developed rather later than most part of Taiwan because of the restriction in transportation. However, it has been a county of culture and arts. Quite a number of famous writers were born and raised in Yilan. One of the most famous is Master Huang Chun –Ming. Lotung Township of Yilan is the birth place of Master Huang Chun-Ming and he was brought up in Yilan. This is why he described in very details of Yilan in his works. In the last 15 years, he incessantly endeavored in the rehabilitation of local language, community empowering, rooting of drama, in-depth culturing of literature and renovation of Taiwan Opera. His love and orientation to Yilan inspired many natives of Yilan returning to hometown and to make their contribution. In 2002, he moved Huang Ta Yu Kid Troupe back from Taipei to Yilan City. He wants to realize the culture rooting mission of his choice through training, rehearsal and tournaments. Our school is located in Yilan City and is only 5 minutes drive from Huang Ta-Yu Troupe. It is our intention to bring the story of Love and Hope to everybody through our Thematic Research and we can all sailing in the sea of literature of Master Huang Chun-Ming.

　　
Lie Ming Elementary School is located at eastern suburb of Yilan City. This place was originally an agricultural community – lines of bamboo wind shield fend off strong wind for plantation and houses scattered. But following the economic development and boom in industries and commerce, Yilan City develops gradually to the east which brought people and paved roads over to replace the original quite farms. High-rise mansions and apartment, stores and commercial building popped out like bamboo shoots after rain in the spring. With the outskirt lane and freeway building to this place, a new community is growing up here. One of the effects is that Lie Ming Elementary School is ballooning as well. With the existing culture and mood in the school, there is full of love and warmth in the campus. In recent years, in additional to winning competition in academic and physical education, the school is actively integrate the community with local programs-development of boy scout activities, thematic learning and participation in Cyber Fairs, etc. it is hoped that the characteristic program would help to enhance the professional skill of teachers and the learning capacity of students.

It is the first time I led the pupils to Yilan Performance Hall for a Child Drama – “Junior Li is not a Liar”- I was so touched by the play that I decided almost immediately to take “Master Huang Chun-Ming and His Huang Ta Yu Kid Troupe as the topic for the Cyber Fair competition. We know it is very difficult to write about Master Huang Chun-Ming, as he seems to be an almighty prophet, he is good at photographing, painting, drama and he is particularly good in his achievement in literature creation, which can hardly find a match. It leads to difficulty in focusing. We did encounter lots of difficulty, but it is very rare opportunity to talk with Master Huang Chun-Ming about kid drama, literature, the one who loves Yilan wholeheartedly. This is the best gain from this Cyber Fair competition.

I still remember the first time I watch stage drama. It was in my Grade 3 of Senior High. I saved my allowance and asked my friend to buy ticket for me. It was a rare experience for a young girl grown up in Yilan and watched the play in a large city. The stage was in front of me and music was playing. I was as happy as I was floating in outer space. It was marvelous.
Joining the Fish Team to visit kid’s troupe for interview made me feel that I became a young kid and together with my students, I enjoyed the happiness of watching drama play.

Since I took my internship in Lie Ming Elementary School, I gain every day. I was instructed by my director in Oct. 2006 to assist Mr. Lu in a program called “Creative Teaching Program – Cyber Fairs”. In the beginning, I had no idea at all and I could only follow orders. With the repeated explanation of Mr. Lu, I grabbed something gradually. After watching “Junior Li is not a Liar” a play of Huang Ta-Yu Kid Troupe and taking a few pictures of the show, I am deeply touched by the story. In the play, Junior Li was missing for many days after going to Arcadia, his grandpa searched for him, junior was mistaken as lying about arcadia… only by the end of the play, viewers realize what arcadia is. I was moved by the sincere smile and the interaction between peoples and between people and animal. It is my great pleasure to work together with Mr. Lu and the pupils and I am glad to contribute, even though it may not be enough.

Before participating the Cyber Fair, I had heard nothing about Master Huang Chun-Ming or Huang Da Yu Kid Troupe, and I gained certain understanding of both of them after putting efforts into this thematic research. After meeting Master Huang and reading his works, I found that Master Huang is a knowledgeable, kind and warm person. He makes me feel that the experience in Cyber Fair Competition is unique and not available everyday. It told me that one can observe and study bit and piece in our daily life deeply to find even more and the experience of working together with school mates is valuable and rare opportunity.

Beginning of new semester means also beginning of the 8th Cyber Fair. We must enlisted with our tutor promptly. Last year, we were with the theme of “Lin Rong-Chun, the Champion forever”. With this theme, we won Excellent Performance award in the 6th Cyber Fairs. The challenge this year is “ Master Huang Chun-Ming and his Kid Troupe”. Master Huang Chun-Ming is a kind and friendly person and he treated us well. The first time is visiting the Youth Troupe of Fushing Junior High. Because it was the first time that we did not speak much, but sat aside and watched their rehearsal Thereafter, we got acquainted and we even played together. Participating in Cyber Fair activities provides not only the opportunity to acquire knowledge and make many friends. From Bu-Ma Gang of last time to Kid Troupe this time, I find that there are so many celebrities in Yilan, such as Chen Wang –Tsun, Lin Rong Chun and Huang Chun-Ming this time. There are legacy of Yilan, Nanmen Garden and Suang Lien Pi. There are lots of valuable thing in Yilan waiting for us to uncover.

Participating Cyber Fair this time is out of hunch. This is my 2nd time. The first time was in response to the recruitment of our tutor and I guessed it would be fun. This time I joined because we gained rank last time that gave me sense of achievement. I hope that I can do some extra work and prepare the data more in detail. As we have the experience of last time, we are sure we will have better performance and if we can win the championship, we will be much satisfied. Yes, we will win.

This is my second Cyber Fair event. Our job is interviewing every member of Huang Ta Yu Kid Troupe. They are lovely and lively. It is easy to get along with them. The funniest thing in the process of this interview is that we took part in their training, rehearsal and performing on stage. It made me feel real and it told how hard they were working.

This is my second time participated in Cyber Fair activities. It is real fun. It provides me with the opportunity to visit many places and make many friends. It is good to participate. Previous time, we interviewed Master Huang Chun-Ming and this time we interviewed Huang Ta Yu Kid Troupe. There are so many interesting things to do and to meet with, and many friends to see. It is a pity that I am graduating from the school. I learnt a lot from the two Cyber Fair and we all did our best to complete the interviews. We hope that we will be winning award.

This is my first encounter with Cyber Fair. It is new, fancy and exciting. I hope that I will gain rich and valuable experience from it. I will certainly do my best in my part, I will perform to have sense of accomplishment. This is the first time and I should not let it down.

This is my first time joining such activity. I have invested quite some efforts, hence, even though the time is short, but I acquired quite much, such as knowledge and sense of drama and arts, and I knew Master Huang Chun-Ming now and his paper shred arts amazed me, so is his collection of books. This is my first contact with shred paper art and skill. The return to me in this Cyber Fair activity makes me determined to participate the next time.
