Honor awards of Lian-Fa Lian-Fa

In order to ensure high quality rice produced by the rice milling factory, Lian-Fa underwent transformation in 2004 and contracted with peasants to promote the“Shang Shui” brand. It received many assessment awards and CAS Good Rice Factory Certification. The following year,〔2005〕Rice Production and Sales Special Zone was setup. It collaborated with Nakashimamio Shoutenn in production and sales of “Dream Beauty.” This rice was packaged as “Taiwan Rice” and was sold back in Japan. What is CAS Good Rice?》

At present, there are 18 types of products certified by CAS Good Rice Certification. Among which, two of the Lian-Fa Shan Shui Rice Series have been certified. The CAS No. of Shiang Jia Dong Shang Shui Aromatic Rice is 041601l the CAS No. of Shiang Jia Dong Special Class Shan Shui Rice is 041602. It is not an easy task to obtain such certification! First, rough rice/paddy variety has to be recognized has good rice variety by Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan. Also, it has to be cultivated in specific good rice planting areas. Moreover, the rough rice/paddy has to be produced by rice factories duly certified by CAS Good Rice Certification. Finally, the milled rice/polished rice quality has to conform to hygiene and safety standards and the milled rice/polished rice has to be CNS Class I Rice. Milled rice/polished rice that has attained CAS Good Rice Certification guarantees quality!
Other than the CAS Good Rice Logo, some vacuum bags have “Taiwan Good Rice” logo. They are not just slogans of factories, instead, they are part of the domestic rice classification system implemented by Food and Agriculture Agency so that good rice can be sold at good prices and local rice competitiveness can be strengthened. As a result, CAS Good Rice Certified Factories may be guided in producing high quality vacuum packaged rice which are packaged in uniform ally designed “Taiwan Good Rice” packs. Consumers will be able to recognize it right away. Out of the 18 CAS Good Rice, 16 of them are labeled “Taiwan Good Rice.” Therefore, if you see packaged rice with “Taiwan Good Rice” next time at shopping malls, do not have doubts; it is definitely Class I rice.
