A:Dongyong Lighthouse

　　Dongyong Lighthouse, located in Dongyin Island, is ranked as the third-class historical site and the farthest lighthouse in Taiwan. Dongyong Lighthouse stands alone under the azure blue sky and near white granite rocks. It has guided numerous vessels for tens of years quietly. The lighthouse stands on the southeast side of Shiwei Mountain. The lighthouse and its dorms were designed and built in 1904 by the British architect in a simple British style of the 18th century. The lighthouse is also called Dongyin Mansion for its elegant design. There is one ideal fishing spot from Dazihao to the coastline around the lighthouse.

　　Dongyong Lighthouse was completed in 1904. It has been an important identification mark on the sea for trading channels to Asia for a century. However, due to continuous battles, Donying Island became the restricted and guarded military area that was not accessible before. So Dongyong Lighthouse stood alone and watched passing-by international vessels quietly. The lighthouse became a beautiful and mysterious mark over the sea. To Taiwan Island residents, Dongyin was an inaccessible frontier, where stood a legendary wonderful lighthouse, mostly seen on scenic photos or postcards.
