RuiFong Train Stationmarks the starting point of our journey to JiuFen. It doesn't matter where you are from around the island, the best way to get to JiuFen is from RuiFong station which is one of the frequent stops on the East Railway.

Opposite the station, you can catch the bus to JiuFen at the bus stop next to a breakfast stand called Gen Sean Bau.

It's usually $20 NT for adults and $10 NT for children.

Hailing a taxi outside the station is  another option to reach JiuFen; however, a one-way ride typically costs between $150 to $170 NT.

While on the bus, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery offered in the RuiFong-JiuFen area. First to the left side comes into eyes a whale-like island called KeeLung Island.

Right in our front appears the highest mountain in this area. No wonder it's the landmark of JiuFen, it shapes likea chicken coop. So, naturally it's named Mt. KeeLung which in Chinese has the same soundas chicken coop.

Mt. KeeLung has stirred vivid  imagination of climbers and viewers from the past, and some even say it looks like a pregnant lady if viewed from Chin- Shien Junior High school which sits on the highest point of JiuFen. That's why Mt. KeeLung is also called Mt. Pregnant Beauty.

After the bus passes ChengHuangMiao, it's time to get off because the next stop is our destination.

Upon stepping off, find the entrance of old JiuFen shopping street by the name of JiShan St. But not to worry, there are usually so many people getting off at this stop, the driver becomes accustomed to yell out "JiuFen is here". It wouldn't be too hard to miss this one, would it?

Just in case if you're not quite sure where JiShan St. is. Look for 7-11. The entrance is right next to 7-11. In this way, you can be rest assured that you've indeed found the old JiuFen shopping street.
