Priority  to this, I had to explore computer myself and read a lots of books about it.  I used all what I had learned to do this project! Participating in building this website, I can say that my knowledge upon to  computers improved a lot. It also gave me bigger chance to learn about it.  For example, I found out, that during the website constructing I have proved knowledge how to type. It is also very important to keep files in order, otherwise everything would be a mess. Moreover, I learned how to modify images, use the  FrontPage, manage a website, use FTP to download files.  I am getting more familiar with HTML language more than anybody in this group. I helped to figure out many problems so everybody call me a computer engineer.
The biggest challenge for me was to refine designs and images of the website which I had to leave for the girls.
I think when you  construct a website than is very important to work in team. for example with interviewing, typing, designing, image modifying, website managing etc. Every one of these subjects had somebody in charge, so that way the website can be complete and meaningful.  I think that cooperation is one of very important parts to it.
We still have several weaknesses that could be improved.  One of them is, that we would rather have  few people who really understand web page engineering then bunch of people which can't help. Upon to the last stages of the construction where there were only a few people desperately working. I look forward with all team members to learn and practice more, so we can get ready for the next challenge.   After this program, I recognized that  I am gaining more interest in computers. Next time I hope to participate in other website constructions.

Thinking of the group activity class in third grade, I picked the "Native Soil Exploring Group", Mrs. Chen Ru-Hwa led us to visit the Kin-Shan-Mian, that was the time when I discovered  it. In sixth grade we picked up this topic again which gave me good impressions.  Throughout third grade to now I felt the environment changing pretty much.  Although the land in the Third development of Science Park is now covered with factories, Kin Shan Mian's sociality and nativity did not mutate.
This project gave me the feeling that the society changed extremely fast!  It also told me plenty of those touching stories and I taught myself all the discouragements and difficulties during the social movements.  Three years ago, Kin Shan Mian started to be a big argument.  When I, who investigates this history now,  heard about all those "history". I couldn't help to realize why I think selfishly about myself, but not any regard towards to other people?
After finishing this research, I also learned a big lesson.  Kin Shan Mian's social environment will not escape from my memory.

After  I took this researching project, I felt growing up. I proved the hardship of doing research and also the responsibility.
Due to the timing was so limited, we planned our interview schedules almost everyday. We were so tired of taking care of our usual home works.

During the whole process  of the project we heard a lot of different opinions about it, but we were not under the influence of those stories so we continued to do the research. What impressed me the most of this activity, was our interview with Mr. Huang, the director of Science Park Administration Bureau. After listening to his explanation of the Kin San Mian history I realized how the Science Park interacted with the Kin San Mian and how hard it had been doing the feedback to the Kin San Mian.

Tian Tein

Hi, everybody! I am a perfect "computer idiot" when it gets to  talking about computer files. I always feel "foggy"!  When typing?  It is needless to say.  This time I got dragged into this team without any "rights". Of course I can only engage in idle theorizing.
After the relaxing vacation in December, I started  to fight hard for one month schedule~~~~ then I went to a series of visits, interviews, discussions, which flattened me out of the breath, but after interviewing Mr. Wu, I understood the harsh history of the Kin-Shan-Mian. It stands in the inconvenience of Science Park's movement, but it is still a labor community~~~~.
After this website construction competition, my typing speed became faster. Computer knowledge got much wider, more important, I understand more about the Kin Shan Mian.  So even if we don't get any high places in this competition I am happy that I am growing up!

Although doing this website construction of Kin San Mian was filled with difficulty and trouble and I had to sit up to type almost everyday during the whole research process, we finished finally. We learned more about the land that we live on, and understood it more deeply. We also realized that Kin San Mian’s  is discontent toThe Science Park, and The Science Park’s contribution to Kin San Mian. I hope that the judge will approve my effort of this project.

After finishing  this case  of study, I learn that it is important to listen to  the voice from everyone of each party.  Every little opinion could make great help to this land and make our home town even better!
I hope that this web pages will help to Kin-San-Mian to have its beautiful future.

We are all very busy and nervous at these days. I hope that we can catch up the deadline.

Guo-Ping Haung

In this activity, I learned how to search for  written materials for a reference, how to interview people and how to arrange to record a voice of an interview. I type faster now. I had to skip normal classes to work on this project when we fell behind the schedule and that was very inconvenient to me. I was not familiar with the construction of a website so I felt like to quit once. But I still appreciate the opportunity of learning a lot.

Our topic is Kin Shan Mian, now almost all the information are organized, but there is still some which are not complete yet.  In this activity, I saw the beauty of the former Kotzuhu Stream,  the aged historical temple, but in these days its time to improve the technology which they developed and  many of the beautiful natural resources.  Although by several resident's reaction, plenty of aged trees are protected and a stream, but hereafter we need to continue protecting the aged trees and historical monuments.
In this activity, I learned how to cooperate. Everybody was busy, sometimes we had to skip some classes in order to work on this project, very unhandy.  My problem is writing. My writing abilities are not good  so  after I thought for a while, nothing came to me. I am still very happy that I had a chance to learn.

In this activity, I learned the impact between Kin San Mian and the environment killer-Science Park. People in Kin San Mian think that Science Park had destroyed the whole living environment except the Ko-Tzhu River and feel extremely discontent to Science Park. I think things would be better if both of them could be more cooperative.

When we accomplished this project, I looked back thought the whole research process working with the children, I had to cry.
This research project was so challenging and  so livable and so practical. What we discussed made us so emotional that it seemed we were not doing the project but participating a community build-up activity, the children and I all learned a lot from it.
Though I do not have  major in computer science, I worked with the children on this project, and I learned a lot of homepage skills from them. When I encountered with  problems of skills, they even gave me the book about it to read. They were my teachers in some ways.
I felt so happy and satisfied when I read what they wrote about their feelings of this activity, and I think the process is more precious than the result. The children in the sixth grade will graduate.
